If vacancy occurs in the Board of Directors, the President reserves the right to appoint a director prior to the next election to fill the vacancy.

Official Handicap Factor:

BGAT adheres to the Golf Canada Handicap System (RCGA).

The official handicap factor for members is maintained by BGAT.

Note: Handicap Index is the USGA equivalent of the Handicap Factor

Determining handicap factors for New Members:

Assessment of initial handicap factors for new members is as follows:

If a new member has a current official handicap factor from a recognized club, BGAT will recognize this as his official handicap factor.

If a new member does not have a current official handicap factor, then the Handicap Committee will assess his initial factor based on the recommendation of his sponsor.  He will then be placed into one of two categories:

a.      Good (19 - 32) with maximum score of 9 per hole.

b.      Better (1 - 18) with maximum score of 7 per hole.

Equitable stroke control (ESC) will be used to calculate the adjusted score for the next five games. After the fifth game, your official club handicap factor will be declared.  This will be based on the best differential from the previous five games.
